Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education originally advertised to receive bids on Thursday, January 12, 2023 for Swimming Pool Repair and Maintenance. Request for bids were issued to nine (9) vendors with zero bids received; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education re-advertised to receive bids on Friday, February 10, 2023. Request for bids were issued to ten (10) vendors with two (2) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the award of contract during February 23, 2023 Board Meeting for a two (2) year period commencing February 23, 2023 through February 22, 2025 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole two (2) year renewal option commencing April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract was reviewed and approved by Vincent Hutcheson, Director of Project Control, Carlos Edmundo, Acting Executive Director of Facilities Management, and Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contract for Swimming Pool Repair and Maintenance for a two (2) year period commencing April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2027 as follows:
Ray Palmer Associates, Inc., Dover, NJ at a cost not to exceed $300,000.00 |
