Summary:

|
Whereas, Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC) and the Newark Board of Education at Hawkins Street School and South Street School have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for community and educational programming from September 2025 to June 2026. Under this agreement, ICC will provide physical space for events, facilitate access to youth and family programming, promote community revitalization efforts, and distribute Hawkins Street School and South Street School materials at community events, all at no cost to the District. In return, Hawkins Street School and South Street School will participate in community meetings, assist ICC in connecting with resources, display ICC programming information, and collaborate on initiatives to celebrate cultural diversity. |

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Memorandum of Understanding between Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC) and the Newark Board of Education at Hawkins Street School and South Street School. |
