Summary:

Whereas the District will enter into a lease to purchase agreement for a total of sixteen (16) school buses, the sale of these sixteen (16) district-owned school buses would be used to fund a portion of the lease to purchase cost of the newly acquired school buses below:
• (8) minibus 24 passengers on Ford gas chassis. Available in April/May timeframe.
• (1) minibus 19/4 passenger wheelchair on Ford gas chassis. Available in April/May time frame.
• (7) full-size 54 passenger Thomas C2 Cummins. Available in October/November timeframe.
All these buses have full air conditioning and include the Seon camera systems per your specifications. |

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education will sell school buses through Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission's Bid process. It is recommended to sell these vehicles at this time to obtain optimal value of the vehicles. |
