Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education currently has and desires to continue the Employee Assistance Program assisting with grief/bereavement, stress/anxiety, depression, family issues, legal referrals, debt management, and drug/alcohol abuse for District personnel; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (2) the District is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement for extraordinary unspecifiable services; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a one (1) year period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Yolanda Melendez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT IS RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for the Employee Assistance Program for a service period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 as follows:
Charles Nechtem Associates, Inc., Jersey City, NJ at a cost not to exceed $83,600.00
Explanation: To maintain the employee assistance program for District personnel to assist with grief/bereavement, stress/anxiety, depression, family issues, legal referrals, debt management, and drug/alcohol abuse. Subject to the availability of funds. |
