Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 after public advertising for Advertising Services. Request for proposals were issued to eleven (11) vendors with two (2) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by staff members of the Newark Board of Education and the committee selected the finalist identified below as the best qualified vendor based on their response to the District’s request for proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with N.J.S.A.18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, the contract term shall be for a two (2) year period of August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2024 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Yolanda Mendez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Advertising Services from August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2024 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period as follows:
iHeartMedia Entertainment Inc., Boston, NY at a cost not to exceed $399,820.00
EXPLANATION: To secure adverting services to attract and provide notice for various District initiatives. Subject to the availability of funds. |
