Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to enter into a contractual agreement with Rutgers University for alternative route teacher certification courses; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is September 6, 2022 through August 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Yolanda Mendez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Alternative Route Teacher Certification Courses from September 6, 2022 through August 31, 2023 as follows:
Rutgers University, Newark, NJ at an amount not to exceed $342,750.00
EXPLANATION: To provide alternative route teacher certification courses. Subject to the availability of funds. |
