Summary:
Whereas, on April 14, 2020, the State and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey enacted P.L. 2020, Chapter 27, providing for continuity of instruction in the event of a public-health related district closure so that local educational agencies can utilize virtual or remote instruction to satisfy the 180-day requirement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:7F-9;

Whereas, the guidance issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Education provides that a local educational agency must annually submit its proposed program for virtual or remote instruction to the Commissioner of Education to be implemented during a district closure lasting more than three consecutive school days due to a declared state of emergency, declared public health emergency, or a directive by the appropriate health agency or officer to institute a public health-related closure;

Whereas, in accordance with such guidance, the administration has prepared the Guidance for Emergency Remote Instruction 2022-2023, and the Board of Education finds that the Guidance for Emergency Remote Instruction 2022-2023 fits the district’s needs;
