Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4.5 on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 after public advertisement for Principal Pipeline Development. Request for proposals were issued to four (4) vendors with two (2) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education seeks to contract with a leadership development organization
that specializes in the development of school-based instructional leaders. This organization shall serve as a strategic partner as the District develops its own school leader pipeline. The Purpose of the pipeline is to recruit, hire and retain qualified school leaders; and
WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by staff members of the Newark Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is December 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Dr. Yolanda Mendez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Principal Pipeline Development commencing December 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023 as follows:
New Leaders, Inc., New York, NY at a cost not to exceed $251,275.00
EXPLANATION: To develop a pipeline for recruiting, hiring and retaining qualified school leaders. |
