Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the District desires to administer student assessments for gathering relevant information evaluating performance and progress; and
WHEREAS, the District recognizes that the provision of assessments includes the cost of item development, printing and shipping tests/ test booklets, and online access; and
WHEREAS, the District shall include MAP Growth K-12 Science add-ons, and virtual workshops; and
WHEREAS, the District can award a term contract in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (5) without advertisement for educational goods and services; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall not exceed a one (1) year period commencing September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Rochanda Jackson, Executive Director of Policy, Planning, Evaluation, and Testing.

NOW, THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Student Assessment and Related Services including ancillary training for a term of September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 as follows:
North West Evaluation Association (NWEA), Portland, OR at a cost not to exceed $488,014.00
EXPLANATION: To provide student assessments and related services for grades 1-12. Subject to the availability of funds.
