Summary: Whereas, the Newark Board of Education is committed to the continuing improvement of the educational improvement of the educational program of the district.

Whereas, the teachers, department chairs, and central office personnel have authored English Language Arts curriculum guide that provide a year long overview, unit plans and assessments.

The following curricular units of study:

Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve the Language Arts Curricula as outlined in this resolution.
