Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to enter into a contractual agreement with University Hospital to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Bleeding Control training; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the contract period shall be August 22, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Levi Holmes, Executive Director of Security Services.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for University Hospital Safety Training for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Automated External Defibrillator, and Bleeding Control training from August 22, 2022 through June 30, 2023 as follows:
University Hospital, Newark, NJ at an amount not to exceed $60,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide the office of Safety with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator, and bleeding control training. Subject to the availability of funds.
