Subject: 14.4 Approval of an an Amendment to a Memorandum of Understanding between the Girl Scouts Heart of NJ and the Newark Board of Education.

Summary: Whereas, the Girls Scouts Heart of NJ has agreed to commit to reduce the contract cost of services to $0 from September 2022- June 2023; and
Whereas, they will contribute up to $60,000 to support the district's commitment to the Girl Scouts; and

Whereas, the Newark Board of Education will form up to three Girl Scout groups in the Extended Learning Day After School Program at Belmont Runyon, L.A. Spencer, Quitman St., Ridge St., Abington Ave., Ann St., Avon Ave., First Ave., Park, and Speedway Schools.
Funding : The Girls Scouts will contribute up to $60,000 to the District for this initiative.
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Girls Scouts Heart of NJ and the Newark Board of Education.
