Summary:

Whereas, the Newark Board of Education has committed itself to providing extended classroom learning experiences that extend and enrich the New Jersey Learning Standards; and Whereas, the field trip learning activities will include Greater Newark Conservancy, Reeves Reed Arboretum, Newark City Hall, The Newark Museum of Art, Liberty Science Center, Adventure Aquarium, The Franklin Institute, American Museum of Natural History, National Museum of African American History and Culture, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the Extended Classroom Learning Experience Field Trips at an amount not to exceed: PreK- Greater Newark Conservancy- $35,100 K- Reeves Reed Arboretum- $20,000 1rst- Greater Newark Conservancy- $ 35,100 2nd- Newark City Hall- $0 3rd- Liberty Science Center- $73,000 4th- Newark Museum- $32,400 7th- Liberty Science Center- $73,000 8th- Adventure Aquarium- $33,420 9th- Franklin Institute- $39,000 10th- Museum of Natural History- $40,920 11th- Museum of African American History & Culture- $0 (no fee for entrance) 12th- US Holocaust Museum- $3000 ($1.00 per student)
