Summary: WHEREAS a Notice of Tort Claim has been submitted to the Board of Education on behalf of 590394; WHEREAS the Board, through counsel, has denied the allegations in the Notice of Tort Claim; WHEREAS, in order to avoid protracted and costly proceedings, the Board finds that it is in the best interest of the Board and the school district to resolve the matter by way of settlement in accordance with terms recommended by the Superintendent;

Recommendation to the Board: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED The Board hereby approves and authorizes settlement of the claim set forth in the Notice of Tort Claim submitted on behalf of 590394 in accordance with the terms recommended by the Superintendent, and the Board hereby authorizes the Board President to execute a settlement agreement on behalf of the Board, which shall include a general release of claims and such other terms as may be recommended by General Counsel.
