Summary:
|
Whereas, the Newark Public Schools Office of Early Childhood submission of the Wrap Around Services Enhancement Grant for FY 2025; and,
Whereas, the Office of Early Childhood was allocated $729,187 to reduce family cost sharing for before-school, after-school, and summer "wrap-around" child care; and,
Whereas, the Newark Wrap Around Services Enhancement Grant will fund in-district, Head Start, Private Providers, and Private agencies serving before and after care for preschool-enrolled students throughout the city of Newark; and
Whereas, the Office of Early Childhood is required to submit to the board for approval to receive the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) - Division of Early Childhood and Family Engagement Wrap Around Enhancement Grant
