Summary: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B (IDEA-B) is a federally funded program designed to ensure that children with disabilities, including children aged three through five, have access to a free appropriate public education to meet each child’s unique needs and prepare each child for further education, employment, and independent living. The grants will be used to fund salaries of district employees, supplemental salaries for after-school and summer programs, instructional and non-instructional supplies, professional services, Special Olympics, Preschool Disabled, proportionate share services to non-public schools, and Early Intervening Services to address the needs of students identified at risk.
