Summary:

WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4.5 on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 after public advertisement for Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Grades K-8 Mathematics, History of Mathematics, and Mathematical Modeling. Request for proposals were issued to twenty-seven (27) vendors with twelve (12) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the award of contract during the May 25, 2023 Board Meeting for a two (2) year contract term of June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2025 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole renewal option; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Amanda Grossi, Director of Mathematics.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contract for Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Grades K-8 Mathematics, History of Mathematics, and Mathematical Modeling for a two (2) year contract term of June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2027 as follows:
A. Imagine Learning LLC, Scottsdale, AZ at an amount not to exceed $6,000,000.00
