Whereas the contractor, After-School All Stars NJ (21CCLC) services the following schools during the Newark Public Schools summer program: Belmont Runyon School, Camden Street School, Dr. E. Alma Flagg School, Elliott Street School, George W. Carver School, McKinley School, Mt. Vernon School, and Thirteenth Avenue School. Whereas the contractor requests the follow data for the following school years - 2025-2028: - Student Demographic Information - Student ID - Grade - Reduced Lunch Eligibility - Scholar Dietary Restrictions, Allergies and/or Medical Restrictions (that may impede scholar participation in programs) Whereas the After-School All Stars NJ (21CCLC) requests the following data from Camden Street School and George W. Carver School for the following school years - 2022 - 2028: - School Name - Grade level - Student Demographic Information - Student ID - Reduced Lunch Eligibility - Enrollment History - Grade Mark History - Attendance History - District Assessment Scores - State Assessment Scores - Teacher first name, last name - Teacher Email - Staff first name, last name - Staff Email Whereas the data collected will be used to support the objectives of both the After-School All Stars national network and the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) grant. The data will be used to: (1) Assess academic enrichment needs; (2) Monitor program effectiveness; (3) Enhance program offerings; and (4) Ensure compliance. The Data Sharing Agreement expires June 30, 2028.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Research and Data Sharing Agreement between the After-School All Stars NJ and the Newark Board of Education.
