Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education seeks to obtain services of an experienced labor relations consultant to assist with negotiations, arbitration hearings, supplemental fringe benefits, and insurance benefits for various unions; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, October 24, 2024 through September 30, 2025 is the contract term; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Scott Carbone, Director of Labor Relations.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Labor Relations Consultant services to assist with negotiations, non-instructional arbitration hearings, impasse proceedings, and labor relation services for various unions from October 24, 2024 through September 30, 2025 as follows:
Fogarty & Hara, Counsellors At Law, South Fair Lawn, NJ at cost not to exceed $40,000.00
