Summary:

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to enter into a contractual agreement with Montclair State University for Teacher of Students with Disabilities courses; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is October 3, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Yolonda Severe, Executive Director of Early Childhood.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Teacher of Students with Disabilities courses from October 3, 2022 through June 30, 2023 as follows:
Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ at an amount not to exceed $50,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide teachers with courses that support advanced teaching practices in inclusive early childhood education. Subject to the availability of funds.
