Subject: 14.5 Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Beat the Streets and the Newark Board of Education.

Summary: Whereas, Beat the Streets has agreed to assist the Newark Board of Education in implementing up to three afterschool wrestling programs for children in grades 5-8; and

Whereas, Beat the Streets staff will participate in planning and implementation of the wrestling program and provide wrestling equipment, uniforms and coaches; and

Whereas, Beat the Streets will engage with coaches, provide access to competitions, clinics and camps in collaboration with the Office of Athletics.
Funding : No cost to the district.
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Memorandum of Understanding between Beat the Streets and the Newark Board of Education.
