Summary:
|
WHEREAS, quotations were electronically received on Thursday, October 7, 2021 for Food Service Breakfast Breaks Meal Packs, request for quotations were issued to five (5) vendors with three (3) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance of NJSA 18A:18A-5a (6), the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for food supplies; and
WHEREAS, the District’s quotation, terms and conditions, and the vendor’s response will become the contract; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is from October 28, 2021 through August 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Dr. Tonya McGill, Executive Director of Food and Nutrition Services.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Breakfast Breaks Meal Packs from October 28, 2021 through August 31, 2022 as follows:
ACE Endico, Brewster, NY at a cost not to exceed $2,027,520.00
EXPLANATION: To provide the students of the Newark Board of Education with a fresh, nutritious and balanced meal. Subject to availability of funds.
