Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 after public advertisement for Hood and Duct Cleaning. Request for bids were issued to nineteen (19) vendors with two (2) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the board of education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertising for bids; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the award of term contract for Hood and Duct Cleaning for a two (2) year period commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027 as follows:
Blaze Realty Clean LLC doing business as New System Hood Cleaning, Wickatunk, NJ at a cost not to exceed $113,280.00
EXPLANATION: To provide hood and duct cleaning services for all cafeterias within the Newark Board of Education.
