Summary:
|
Whereas, the Universal Services Administrative Company administers the Emergency Connectivity Fund to eligible organizations; and
Whereas, Newark Board of Education applied and was awarded up to $3,000,790 to support up to 5000 Wi-Fi hotspots for remote learning for students and teachers, 1000 Chromebook touch models for Teacher Aides and paraprofessionals, and up to 5000 additional Chromebooks for students; and
Whereas, the Office of Information Technology will oversee the grant; and
Whereas, the grant funding is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.
