Summary:
|
Whereas, Explore The Trades is committed to developing the next generation of a skilled workforce by changing the perception of the trades. The organization creates awareness of the trades through key industry statistics, career resources and connections with industry-leading residential service companies throughout North America; and
Whereas, Explore The Trades announced a new partnership between SkillCat and the "Explore The Trades Skills Lab" to provide equipment to school districts; and
Whereas, the Newark Board of Education was awarded the Skills Lab equipment grant for equipment in the value of $25,000 for the Newark School of Architecture & Interior Design; and
Whereas, the grant implementation will be managed by the Office of Career and Technical Education.

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education accepts the Skills Lab equipment grant with a value of $25,000 and agrees to accept and comply with all guidelines set forth in the grant.
