Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Friday, October 11, 2024 after public advertisement for Vertical Farming Units. Request for bids were issued to five (5) vendors with one (1) vendor responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to reject the sole bid received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22(a); as the bid substantially exceeds our cost estimates; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for rejection of the sole bid received has been reviewed and approved by Kathleen Tierney, Director of Science.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the rejection of bid for Vertical Farming Units in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22(a).
