Summary:
|
WHEREAS, Wiss and Company LLP was originally awarded contract 9269 for Professional Auditing and Accounting Services at the March 25, 2021 Board Meeting for a one (1) year period commencing March 25, 2021 through March 24, 2022, with an option to renew for two (2) successive one (1) year periods; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the first renewal option during the February 24, 2022 Board Meeting for a term of March 25, 2022 through March 24, 2023 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2022 Wiss and Company LLP assigned their contract obligation to PKF O’Connor Davies, so that Wiss and Company LLP’s rights, duties, obligations, title, and interests related to contract 9269 will be likewise assigned to PKF O’Connor Davies; and
WHEREAS, there are no other changes to the terms and conditions of contract 9269; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of this contract, any assignment of a contract must be approved by the Newark Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation to consent to the assignment and assumption of contract 9269 has been reviewed and approved by Pablo Canela, Executive Controller.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts, approves and consents to the assignment and assumption of contract 9269 from Wiss and Company LLP to PKF O’Connor Davies with no other changes in the terms and conditions of contract 9269 for Professional Accounting and Auditing Services from August 25, 2022 through March 24, 2023 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period as follows:
PKF O’Connor Davies, Cranford, NJ at a cost not to exceed $288,500.00
EXPLANATION: Consent required to maintain the current contract.
