Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education currently utilizes and desires to continue to utilize Minute Menu Systems’ Kid Kare software for management of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:18A-5a (19), the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for the provision or performance of goods and services for the support or maintenance of proprietary computer software and hardware; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is November 22, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Julianne Bello, Director of Extended Day Programs.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Minute Menu Systems KidKare Software from November 22, 2022 through June 30, 2023 as follows:
Minute Menu Systems LLC, Richardson, TX at a cost not to exceed $38,025.00
EXPLANATION: To maintain Kid Kare software to aid in complying with the regulations for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Subject to the availability of funds.
