Summary: WHEREAS, Partner is licensed and registered in the State of New Jersey to engage in the business of providing positive youth development opportunities.

WHEREAS, Partner’s staff has the education, certification, training and/or work experience in this area so as to be able to provide these services responsibly; and

WHEREAS, the Board voluntarily desires to allow Partner to provide such services to the Board.

4 H is the youth development component of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, connecting youth and our community to Rutgers University (4-H Connects Kids with Rutgers).The 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world. This is accomplished by using the knowledge and resources of caring adults.
Funding : No monies will be exchanged between the parties for the services rendered or received.
Recommendation to the Board: Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education approves the Memorandum of Understanding between the district and Department of 4-H Youth Development.
