Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received on Friday, April 1, 2022 after public advertisement for College Readiness Courses, Assessment, and Professional Development. Request for proposals were issued to four (4) vendors with two (2) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires pre-advance placement courses, advance placement courses, assessment tools, materials, and teacher professional development; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the award of contract during the May 26, 2022 Board Meeting for a three (3) year period of May 26, 2022 through May 25, 2025 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole renewal option; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Rochanda Jackson, Executive Director of Policy, Planning, Evaluation and Testing, and Sylvia Esteves, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contract for College Readiness Courses, Assessment, and Professional Development for a two (2) year period of May 26, 2025 through May 31, 2027 as follows:
The College Board New York, NY at a cost not to exceed $2,400,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide pre-advance placement courses, advance placement courses, assessment tools, materials, and teacher professional development.
