Summary:

|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires for students to participate in the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute, which provides leadership, scholarship, and advance academic services in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, reading, writing, ethics and race/ethnicity for select students in grades seven through eleven; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of award for term contract was reviewed and approved by Mary Harvey, Director of Student Support Services. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for the W.E.B. Dubois Summer Leadership Academy from June 22, 2025 through July 26, 2025 as follows:
W.E.B. Dubois Scholars Institute, Princeton, NJ at a cost not to exceed $187,500.00 |
