Summary:
|
Whereas, Van-Con organized a Group Application on behalf of NJ Boards of Education that resulted in the award of $18,911,861 from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Clean School Bus grant of which $3,035,294 will be allocated to the District; and
Whereas, the grant was awarded for the costs of Type A and C electric school buses, EV charging equipment, and professional engineering and electrical contractor services; and
Whereas, the sub-grant will be managed by the Office of Pupil Transportation. |

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education approves the sub-grant agreement with Van-Con to receive full funding for the buses, chargers, design, and electrical contractor work to deliver a fully operational fleet of 6 Type C electric school buses. |
