Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 after public advertisement for Calculators for Classrooms. Request for bids were issued to sixteen (16) vendors with three (3) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the Board of Education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertisement for bids; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period of June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Amanda Grossi, Director of Mathematics.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Calculators for Classrooms for a two (2) year period of June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2027 as follows:
Eric Armin Inc. doing business as EAI Education, Oakland, NJ awarded 16 items at a cost not to exceed $1,465,796.40
EXPLANATION: To provide the District with calculators for classrooms.
